Michael Murray

Do you want to feel nurtured and taken care in Sri Lanka?

Why not go with someone with local knowledge and experience to show you the very best of Sri Lanka!

Michael Murray first went to Sri Lanka in the mid-80s and has been a regular visitor since 2002. Before that, he was a frequent traveller to India, but the beaches, food, and nature of the teardrop island have won him over forever. He has been involved with a yoga retreat development, property, and business, as well as a film project and post-tsunami aid work.

Michael runs a property buyers agency (Byron Property Search) based in Byron Bay, Northern New South Wales. Before that, he had a successful career as a TV documentary producer. This current project was inspired by people always saying they would love to go to Sri Lanka, to which he has always replied: “Let me take you there!”

Food, architecture, history, and culture are some of Michael’s interests and these themes will be the window through which we glean a deeper understanding of this fascinating country. We will mix it up between luxury and casual, adventurous and relaxed, active and lazy.

The aim is to build a friendly, family atmosphere for a safe, but exciting, mini adventure. We will find the right balance between pre-planned and spontaneity, well structured and loose. Participants will have the advantage of not having to worry about a thing in regards to bookings and admin but with the chance to be open to new possibilities and serendipity – to find the essence of Serendipity itself.
